📜  单工传输模式和半双工传输模式的区别

先决条件 – 计算机网络中的传输模式

1. 单工模式:

单工模式就像在单向街道上一样,通信是单向的,就像在单向街道上一样。在这种情况下,一条链路上的两个设备中只有一个可以发送,另一个只能接收。这种模式是利用信道的全部容量向一个方向发送数据。

示例:- 键盘和显示器。

2.半双工模式:

半双工模式是发送方可以发送数据,也可以一次接收一个数据。它是双向的,即双向通信,但一次一个。

示例:- 对讲机。

单工传输模式和半双工传输模式的区别:

Sr.no Simplex Mode Half-duplex mode
1.  The sender can send the data but that sender can’t receive the data. The sender can send as well as receive the data but does one task at a time.
2. In simplex mode data flow is Unidirectional. In Half duplex data flow is two-directional but one at a time.
3. In this bandwidth utilization is maximum. In this there is less utilization of bandwidth during transmission.   
4. Simplex mode provides worst performance than full duplex mode.  Half duplex mode provides less performance than full duplex mode. 
5. In this, one station is the transmitter and the other is the receiver. Here, information is one way, that is, it is only the transmitter that sends data or information. In this, two systems are connected by a point to point link to transmit and receive signal. Both ends can transmit signal but one at a time.
6. Keyboard and traditional monitors are example of simplex mode. Walkie-Talkies and Text message are example of half duplex mode.
