1.垂直搜索：
垂直搜索是指主题搜索，因为它搜索互联网的特定部分而不是整个互联网。在此搜索中，搜索特定媒体类型或内容，并且搜索引擎仅给出特定于该媒体类型或内容的结果。
例子 –
在谷歌新闻部分下与冠状病毒相关的搜索中，只会出现新闻文章。同样，在谷歌图片下搜索冠状病毒只会提供与该主题相关的图片和图片。所以这里的搜索及其结果是非常具体的。这就是为什么这种搜索也被称为“专业”或“专题”的原因。
2. 横向搜索：
横向搜索是指一种通用类型的搜索，因为它搜索整个互联网，涵盖广泛的媒体主题和媒体主题的整个网络。
例子 –
在谷歌中搜索与电晕病毒相关的内容将得到各种内容的混合结果，包括在一个地方的新闻、视频、图像，还会产生与此相关的许多网站，这些网站在媒体类型或内容方面并不具体，不像在垂直搜索中。
垂直搜索和水平搜索的区别：
